SUBJECT:  This distinctive building was occupied during World War II by the Canadian Army and used as an officers’ mess. After substantial repair and redecoration it was opened as Bramley School in September 1945. Today, Bramley is a leading independent day school for girls. By coincidence, this artwork was commissioned and completed on the 70th Anniversary of the school’s founding.
