SUBJECT: Amsterdam harbour frequently plays host to the magnificent Tall Ships, but the artist was lucky enough to visit when a large ship was being built. The enormous timber structure in the background shows a wooden hulled ship under construction (reportedly for a film, but this was never confirmed).
